Western Region Selected the Best Contenders for the Title!!

Six (6) pairs of finalists were selected last September 16, 2010 to represent Jeddah in the most prestigious search for Ginoo and Bb. Pilipinas-KSA 2010 to be held on October 15, 2010 at the Philippine Embassy Riyadh. The 12 Ginoo finalists are Jhonn Paul Rivera, Christopher William Boyce, Huntlee Ragudo, Reynold Silva, Ariel “AJ” Deveza and Zaki Patrico, while the Binibini winners are Sarah Jane Rejuso, Yasmeen Ali, Carla Alvarez, Jayne Claudette Edano, Jacqueline Canoza and Maybelle Gonzales.
“This year’s batch has a good chance for the titles at stake, and hopefully, we could bring home both titles”, Jhun Abris, Chairman of FAME, announced with pride.
The event which was held at La Parilla Restaurant was hosted by Fame’s Vice Chairman Jerry Lagrimas and new talent/officer Jhayz Tan. The pageant’s opening program showcased the contender’s talent in dancing and was applauded by their supporters, mostly friends and relatives of the candidates. Subsequently, they were subjected to personal interviews from the judges and selected individual topic out of the several categories prepared. The next segment was the Casual Wear, from their own choice of clothing. Lastly, the evening wear competition reflected their class and elegance in carrying gowns and barong tagalong created by the designers of their own choice.
Special Awards were given to the following candidates:

Best in Personality and Casual Interview

The Judges for the Selection night includes Paul Taguba, Elvin Pineda, Dr. Tina Aldover, Dr. Romualdo J. Exmundo Jr. of OWAA Office and FAME Chairman Jhun Abris.
Intermission numbers were provided by Pop Icon Jason Denolan and 2009 Jeddah Pop Icon winner Karla Maye Carreon. The event was also graced by last year’s Bb. Pilipinas KSA candidates Abby Domacena and Carlisle Tadili and the current Bb. Pilipinas KSA Title holder, Nisreen Khurshid. Designers Amir Alkhoriza, Rey Loyola and Jonathan Agudana likewise showcased their creation in some of the candidates outfit.
The event was sponsored and supported by Jhona’s Flower Shop, Night Queen Est., Jezebel Remixes, Bong Concha, Gitnang Silangan, and Artie Banzon of Tags Creative Solution, Official Photographers Muffy Daknash and Randy Santiago, Make-up artists Rogel Bonifacio and Jonathan Agudana & La Parilla Restaurant c/o Zaldy Javing.

Jeddah to chose their official candidates on Sept. 16
Ten male candidates were finally chosen out of more than 20 aspirants for the Ginoo at Bb. Pilipinas-Jeddah 2010. This year’s candidates are mostly OFW’s in their mid 20’s and some have previous experience in joining male pageants in the Philippines. They are as follows: Erwin Celis (Waiter), Christopher William Boyce (Food Server), Razzel Pabustan (Barista), Wisdom Art Galero (Waiter), Huntlee Ragudo (Artist), John Paul River (House Keeping Attendant), Reynold Silva (Visual Merchandiser), AJ Deveza (Sales Associate), Zaki Patricio (Student) and Mark Anthony Garcia ( Rest. Asst. Supervisor)
Six (6) shall be chosen from among these candidates on September 16 to represent Jeddah in the annual kingdom wide search, Ginoo at Bb. Pilipinas-Saudi Arabia in Riyadh on October 16, 2010.

Week-end Activities in Jeddah
Ron Jacobe, director of G. & Bb. Pilipinas Saudi Arabia, flew to Jeddah last week-end and conducted the workshop and training for the Western Region's candidates. The event was held at Sheraton Shabel facilitated by Filipino Artiste Migrant Ensemble (FAME-KSA), the partner of SE Productions in the region.
